When you are out there trooping, the important role of handling\wrangling falls to Official Members and Unofficial Members alike. Handling\Wrangling is one of the most important and jobs anyone out of their kits can engage in. Every member in kit trooping always needs a handler to make sure they are taken care of. From clearing the way to get to a changing room to making sure a member is hydrated, the job of a Handler\Wrangler is a way to get active in the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club and to figure out how things work. If you enjoy wrangling your fellow members, then you might just be a Wrangalor. We sat down with mrfred to hear all about the group, and here is what he had to say:

Q: Tell us about yourself

A: I’ve been a Merc since 2016 with the Manda’galaar Clan in Southern California. Before becoming an Official Member, I wrangled for about a year, so it gave me some insight to wrangling.

Q: Why did you create this Social Society?

A: I created this society because wranglers are the unseen heroes behind the curtain for successful troops. I looked for a way to other wranglers like myself to have their voices heard.  When I didn’t, I founded this society for all of us to swap stories.

Q: What do you love about the Social Society you created?

A: I feel social societies can bring members even closer, especially if they have more commonality besides building a Mando kit. The social societies have a personal element to it, and I believe sharing those personal elements with others is part of the human condition.

Q: What is special to you about Social Societies in general? What do you think they do for the members within the Mercs?

A: It’s a great gateway to learning more about the Mercs and what it takes for trooping or participating with the club in other ways. I currently have an Auxiliary Member, M’kal Prudii Cabur, that’s acting as my XO for this society.

Q: Do you have any advice for anyone looking to join your Social Society?

A: Anybody looking to join The Wrangalor Society should take pics of the troops you wrangle, not just staged pics, but action pics of some of the challenges wranglers face, and share those experiences, so others can learn from them.

If you enjoy sharing your Handling\Wrangling stories, you can tell all your fellow Wrangalore all about it! Wranglers are one of the most important positions in costuming, so go check them out.
